Climate Change Documentary, Directed by Franny Armstrong

This trailblazing film takes an inventive and informative look at  the climate change crisis. It’s a  cautionary tale seen from the future.  In the devastated world of 2055, one lone man looks back at archival footage from our time, and he asks: “Why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?”

Award-winning documentary director Franny Armstrong spent four years following seven real people’s real stories to be intercut with the fictional main character  — from a Shell employee in New Orleans, who rescued over 10 people in Hurricane Katrina, to a young woman living in dire poverty in Nigeria’s richest oil region, to an 82-year old French mountain guide watching his beloved glaciers melt.  Upon its release, this film’s provocative vision inspired green activism that led to the formation of the 10:10 carbon reduction campaign which now operates in 45 countries. Today, the film provides a flashpoint for evaluating where we are now.
