This event is open to the general public. Only members can vote and participate in elections.

First, we will ELECT a new Steering Committee (Co-chairs, Secretary, and Treasurer. Online voting opens February 1st (and there is also this event to meet the candidates Tuesday January 28th (https://www.facebook.com/events/461590024773442/).

Second, we have an amazing guest speaker – Megan Svoboda (NYC DSA) is an elected member of DSA’s National Political Committee and also a member of the Steering Committee for the DSA for Bernie 2020 campaign. In her talk, she will elaborate on DSA’s recent resolution and commitment to a “class struggle elections” perspective. This strategy argues electoral campaigns can be a central part in a larger process of building working class power and organization.

Finally, we will update the membership on all our committee activities and leave plenty of time for discussion.
