This workshop is being organized and led by artist Htet T San as a fundraiser for victims of abuse, refugees and war crime victims due to the Military Dictatorship regime in Myanmar.
This workshop is for those who are interested in experimental and alternative photography. Cyanotype process is discovered by the astronomer Sir John Herschel. The process can be used from simple contact print to many advanced levels. Making cyanotype is a very peaceful and meditative way of art making. In this class we will experiment creating contact prints using florals and leaves.

Open to all ages. Cyanotype paper sheets will be provided. Please bring the flowers, leaves, plants and natural objects of your choice you would like to make images.

Htet T. San is a Myanmar-born artist based in New York City. Htet works with mixed media art, photography, and installation. Her work explores ideas of identity, existence, memories, nostalgia, societal problems and human experience in a meditative and contemplative manner. Recently, she has been combining the mixed media concepts of installation, video projections, and sculptural/material mediums with traditional darkroom and digital imaging techniques.
