LEGEND – final performance

March 28, 2015 - 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

LEGEND – Directed by Ryan Hope Travis

A Live Performance of Legend presented by the Paul Robeson Performing Arts Company. Time is almost up for this troupe of actors. They are less than 24 hours away from opening night, and they don’t even have a script. With the director no where to be found, these four women are forced to bind together and create a play. Featuring the poetry of Jackie Warren-Moore, Micere Mugo, Sonia Sanchez, and Maya Angelou, the play explores issues of redemption, revolution, and collective activism in the African American community. In the spirit of the Selma to Montgomery March, “Legend” charges our communities to use unity and compassion to spark social change.

Featuring performances by Amber Collins, Matellah, Joycelyn Hutton and Marissa Lewis.
