We all are living what we never expected to be our new normal.

And while we’re hunkering down and sheltering in place, it’s likely we are passing the time reading books,
reading/writing poetry, enjoying virtual theatre productions, watching movies on Netflix, taking virtual tours of museums or watching concerts performed by artists from their homes.

In other words, the Arts are allowing us to maintain some sanity in the midst of a world turned upside down.

The importance of the Arts is often sorely underestimated.
We hope that if anything positive can come of this crisis, it will be that we are seeing,
in real time, how the Arts can sustain us, enrich us and elevate us when we need it most.
