The 22-minute film “Healthcare Conspiracy” is framed as a mystery drama. Why hasn’t the NY Health Act come to a vote in the state legislature when majorities in both chambers have been listed as co-sponsors for several years? 

The film has cameos from Zohran Mamdani, Cynthia Nixon, Jabari Brisport, Richard Gottfried, and other state legislators, a doctor, and a nurses’ union leader.

Following the film, we will have brief presentations from the sponsoring groups and a general discussion on how we can break through the Healthcare Conspiracy and pass the NY Health Act and other health care reforms, like ending the privatization of Medicaid services.
