Saturday Screenings are back, and just in time for Halloween!. In the spirit of the  holiday, we’ll be screening Don’t Look Now. From the pen of famed novelist Daphne duMaurier, this “frightening and consistently inventive horror story” (Chicago Reader)  takes us on an unpredictable journey to the darker side of the human psyche. The story spins around London married couple John and Laura Baxter who are grieving over the loss of their  young daughter.  John accepts an assignment to oversee the restoration of an ancient church in Venice, and the couple hope moving to sunny Italy will do them good. Yet at every turn reminders of death surface as the city grapples with a series of unexplained murders. Enter a psychic, blind and elderly, who claims she can see the dead girl. Laura believes her. John is skeptical. All too soon, warnings from the beyond appear.

At once a paranormal thriller and cinematic tour de force, Don’t Look Now has been hailed ,“One of the ten best British horror films ever made,” in separate polls by the British Film Institute and Time Out. $5 Suggested Donation
