Comb Your Hair (or You’ll Look Like a Slave) – Encore Viewing

ArtRage Gallery is hosting an in-person, large screen viewing of The Paul Robeson Performing Arts Company’s summer “virtual” production of Comb Your Hair (or You’ll Look Like a Slave).

Leelee Jackson’s “Comb Your Hair (or You’ll Look Like a Slave)” is a play about the different forms of violence that black women endure, starting at the top of their head. It is uniquely an African American “hair” memoir. 

Directed by Sonita L. Surratt. The Ensemble Cast includes:  Nya Jordan, Safia Rahim, Vanessa Johnson, Karin Franklin-King and music direction by Marcia Hagan.

Limited seating to 30 people, to maximize safety precautions: 
NYS approved-Air filtration, safe distancing, wear masks-please.

Pay at the door- $20 cash or check.
