Mosab Abu Toha is a Palestinian poet from Gaza. He will be reading poems from his recently published book of poetry, Forest of Noise, and speaking about his firsthand experiences with the ongoing massacres and ethnic cleansing of Gaza. He and his family fled after bombings, displacement, and detention by the IDF. Since they fled from Gaza, Mosab has written articles published in The New York Times, The New Yorker Magazine and elsewhere. He has also appeared on Democracy Now!

Mosab’s previous award-winning book of poetry was titled Things You May Find Hidden in My Ear: Poems from Gaza. He is also a columnist, a teacher and founder of the Edward Said Library in Gaza. His remarkable ability to capture and articulate the suffering, courage, steadfastness and humor of Palestinians during the occupation and wars on Gaza is unique.
