Economic Crisis, War, Racism, Bigotry…
What is the alternative to capitalism?

Over 20 million people in the United States   have lost their jobs or are severely underemployed. Every week in April, 120 Central New Yorkers will lose their unemployment insurance, with no jobs in sight.

Governor Paterson has proposed $11 million in cuts to Syracuse City Schools. Meanwhile, more than $9.5 trillion of public funds has been handed over to big bankers—the richest people on the planet.

U.S. troops continue to occupy Iraq and Afghanistan, which are among 130 countries worldwide that house over 750 U.S. military installations.

Over the next ten years, New Yorkers will pay over $2 billion in taxes for military aid to Israel. At the same time, budget cuts have forced Centro to stop and reduce the frequency of several bus routes, and the City has doubled the rates of parking meters.

Racist police repression is on the rise, with police killings, racial profiling, gang injunctions and military-style checkpoints being seen around the country.

This event is FREE and open to the public.
