The Bandwitts

Founded by Hymie and Brandy Witthoft during Brandy’s career in the U.S. foreign service, They spent seventeen years living and performing across Africa, Central Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East, blending global influences with American roots music and original songs.

Now back in the U.S., the band features Hymie on drums and percussion, Brandy on bass, Jason King on guitar, and Joanne Perry on mandolin. Their genre-crossing sound combines rich vocal harmonies with songs about the shared human experience.

Their songwriting has earned awards from the Great American Song Contest and the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. A longtime fixture of the Central New York music scene, Hymie has also performed for decades with the Westcott Jugsuckers and co-founded The Gonstermachers.

Dram Fools

Dram Fools is an eclectic two-man band from Syracuse, New York. Everyone asks what kind of music they play, and they’re still struggling with the answer. All their lyrics and music are collaboratively written and original. Think vocal-driven R&B-jazz-pop-Celtic-alternative and you’ll have, well, still no idea really. So it’s better to just follow them, listen to a few tracks, and find your favorite song!

Gavin grew up in the UK and started piano lessons when he was about eight. Although he was taught classically, he has always been far more comfortable playing by ear than from the page. After several years in the professional recording industry in London, he moved to the US and developed his skills as a singer, songwriter, and arranger.

Bob hails from Buffalo, New York.  While he always fostered a deep love for music, he took to guitar lessons fairly late in life, which opened up the floodgates of songwriting. He is a cerebral yet humorous lyricist, and usually has a very clear idea in his head of what a song wants to sound like.
