“Finding Our Voices-Stories of American Dissent”

October 17, 2008 - 7:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Finding Our VoicesNarrated by Martin Sheen, this film movingly portrays eight diverse Americans’ opposition to the Iraq war and occupation. The eight are: a career diplomat who resigned his post; a mother of a New York firefighter who died in the 9/11 collapse; a soldier who refused to fight in Iraq and went to prison; Representative Jim Morgan whose Virginia district includes the Pentagon; a pastor; a Gold Star mother; and a co-founder of Code Pink. The film convincingly shows that everyday people can – and must- make a difference.
