Engineers Without Borders Syracuse Professional Chapter presents “La Camioneta” by Mark Kendall. The film is the story of a US school bus that travels to Guatemala and is re-purposed as public transport – the trajectory of many retired US school buses.

This event is a fundraiser for EWB Syracuse Professional’s second project in the Palajunoj Valley, Guatemala – a potable water supply system for two villages.

Entry is at no charge, but please give generously to support their work.

“La Camioneta” has received multiple awards, and was judged 100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. It is the very enjoyable, fascinating, informative, eye-opening and moving story of the lives of the Guatemalans who take on the transformation and final use of the bus.
