Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine at Syracuse University in partnership with EmergentCNY Mutual Aid Network, Light Work, Syracuse University’s Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, and Syracuse Jewish Voice for Peace will be presenting a screening of The Encampments, Thursday October 23rd 6:30pm at ArtRage Gallery

Suggestion donations of $5-10 will be collected at the door for Palestine. Masks will be provided and required for the event. Additionally, closed captioning is offered for the hearing impaired.

From Executive Producer Macklemore, The Encampments offers an urgent, intimate portrait of America’s student movement, ignited at Columbia University as students protested their universities’ ties to the war on Gaza. Their actions sparked a nationwide uprising, with encampments spreading across hundreds of campuses. Featuring detained activist Mahmoud Khalil, alongside professors, whistleblowers, and organizers, the film captures the deeper stakes of a historic moment that continues to reverberate across the globe.
