National Homeless Youth Awareness Month event

November 21, 2013 - 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

November is National Homeless Youth Awareness month.

Each year thousands of young people in the United States run away from dangerous situations in their homes, are kicked out of their homes or become homeless for some other reason. At this event you can learn more about what is happening here in Onondaga County and how to help.

Watch a video created by local students about the challenges faced by homeless youth, listen to young people that have been effected by homelessness share their perspective, and view art created by local youth reflecting the realities of homelessness. Light refreshments will be served.

For more information about this event or if you are a young person experiencing homelessness, contact Marnie Annese, Onondaga County Runaway and Homeless Youth Services Coordinator, at 315-435-2362 or mannese@ongov.net

Free to the Public.
