Since 2008, Mic has been a presence in the downtown arts community and has aided in fostering a number of creative venues and writers’ workshops, including the Underground Poetry Spot and the Writing Our Lives annual conference. He has collaborated with a wide range of accomplished artists and has given much of his penmanship to volunteer work and activist stratagems.

In place of a chapbook, Mic will be offering a sale of his visual art, both before and after the poetry recital. Audience members should arrive on time in order to mingle with the crowd and peruse the wide variety of art on display and for sale. Mic’s paintings are mostly acrylic on canvas and each offers insight into his dynamic personality and his poetic styles and influences, too.  Along with a selection of his original canvas art, affordable prints of Mic’s work will be available, as well, making for wonderful and unique holiday gifts (while supporting a local artist!). We hope that you can find something beautiful and inspiring.
