Comstock Review 25th Anniversary Celebration!

November 17, 2012 - 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Comstock Review 25th Anniversary

celebration of poetry and community

The Comstock Review, which began in 1986 in poet Jenny MacPherson’s dining room on Comstock Street, is today a nationally recognized literary journal with two major writing contests. Those who were children in the SCSD back then may recall the Review’s first appearance as PoetPourri. The public is invited to celebrate the launch of the 25th issue along with editors, contributing poets, and longtime supporters in an evening of poetry reading and a special tribute to Jenny MacPherson whose poetry is spotlighted in the issue. This will also be time for a formal announcement of the 2012 Muriel Craft Bailey Award judged by Marilyn Nelson.  The event is free. For more information about The Comstock Review, its history, submission process, or this year’s Jessie Bryce Niles Chapbook Contest, please visit

Free to the Public.
