Join fiber artists Vanessa Johnson and Laurie Leonard for a fiber art workshop. You don’t have to know how to sew!

Participants will create a 20×24 “memory quilt” using iron-on photographs (family photos, childhood photos etc). Quilting materials will be provided but participants may bring special fabric, trims, beads, objects, etc that can be added to your art. (Items such a brooch, beads, Grandma’s old eye glasses, a hanky,  etc).  Sewing Machines will be available if you want to quilt your own piece during the workshop.

Prior to the workshop registered participants will be instructed to email up to three photos to ArtRage Gallery or to bring your photos to ArtRage to be scanned. Your photos will be printed on iron-on fabric and given to you at the workshop.

After the workshop participants are encouraged to leave their work at the gallery to be displayed in the gallery windows until the end of March. Ms. Johnson will be able to finish sewing any unfinished work.

Pre-Registration is required. Contact Kimberley McCoy at Kimberley@artragegallery.org or 315-218-5711
$25 workshop fee. Several need-based scholarships available.
