Stone Canoe: A Journal of Arts & Ideas in Upstate New York, or Stone Canoe 4 for short. Published annually in late January, this journal rotates guest editors from across the upstate region in the subjects areas – fiction, non-fiction, poetry, visual arts. This issue showcases 25 Upstate visual artists including a profile of Lida Suchy & her Community Choir portraits project, which opened at ArtRage.
New work for Stone Canoe 5 is now being accepted. To submit work, visit the journal’s website at www.stonecanoejournal.org for submission guidelines for the 2011 issue.
BRUCE COVILLE BOOKS & FULL CAST AUDIO BOOKS!

Full Cast Audio (FCA) is a local audio book recording company that has a simple mandate: to produce unabridged recordings of fine children’s novels using a full cast rather than a single reader. The brainchild of author Bruce Coville, FCA is a thriving business “right next door” on Westcott Street! In conjunction with our current exhibit, BOYS & GIRLS, we are stocking both audio books and Bruce’s favorite books, appropriate for a wide range of ages, for sale in PosterWorks. We plan to carry them even when our exhibits change. So be sure to remember us when you are looking for a great gift for a child…any child.

LOCAL ARTIST’S NOTECARDS
Calabash-Visuals – Paula Johnson
Photographer, Syracuse University Law Professor and Lecturer, Paula Johnson’s original photographs of scenes from Ghana and Zimbabwe are available as notecards at PosterWorks (pictured below). Her work has been featured in juried gallery exhibitions and publications.
When you think about gift giving or are just looking for a reason to come and browse our exhibit and retail space, think of PosterWorks at the ArtRage Gallery and get the satisfaction of knowing that the dollars you spend will be a contribution towards supporting our work.
PosterWorks at the ArtRage gallery is devoted to providing income for the operation of the galley space. Every purchase from our large stock of posters, cards, T-shirts, DVD’s and books helps us pay for exhibits, rent and utilities! Located inside the gallery, at 505 Hawley Avenue, PosterWorks carries over 100 posters in stock and offers a selection of exhibit related materials for sale. Come and see the largest viewable collection of Syracuse Cultural Workers posters available anywhere in the U.S! Framed versions, at very reasonable prices, are also available for many posters.
